Project
The conservation and enhancement of the archaeological remains discovered beneath the Saint-Antoine bastion (1537) is a task that is both difficult and appealing. At the end of the Saint-Antoine esplanade, in its spatial continuity, the ground seems to undulate, creating a form of vibration that detaches itself from the distant horizon. Something’s going on beneath the surface. There, among these carved out sections, we can see the archaeological discoveries. The project covers the site but not with a roof. It involves landscaping and shaping, with the creation of relief.
