Project

The project consists of a two-storey elevation divided into 12 apartments. Reached by two stairwells and an elevator, each level houses two studios facing the courtyard, two three-room apartments on the street-side and two four-room traversing apartments. The building, dating back to the late 1950s, has an interesting facade, with balcony parapets forming an alternation of continuous and “dashed” lines.

The facades have thus been preserved and we have endeavoured to enhance the character of the existing building by replacing the original glazing, and by repainting the parapets in white and the walls in three shades of red. The new units are intended for rental, as is the entire building. The building is intended to convey an image of quality but not to appear luxurious, notwithstanding the views over the city. The work was completed without any need for the tenants from the lower floors to move out.
